Chani Scheepers Blogs from the French Open Part II

Unfortunately my great run came to an end. During the course of the last week I have learned a lot and gained a lot of confidence. I encountered a lot of new situations as I've never gone this far in a Grand Slam. I will definitely take all these experiences and learn from the mistakes and build on the positives.
Last time I wrote I just won my 1st round. There was a pivotal moment in the tournament which I feel defined me as a player and helped me get this far in the tournament. In my second round I was a set down and 1-1 against Gisela Dulko when the rain came.
During the rain delay I was able to regroup and come out with a new mindset about what I had to do. I ended up winning that match in 3 sets. In my 3rd round I played Akgul Amanmuradova, who I've lost to twice in the last 3 months. I learned a lot in the previous matches and was able to apply it in this match. I ended up winning 63 63. My fourth round was against (No. 5 seed) Elena Dementieva. I ended up losing, but it was a great experience. It was an unforgettable two weeks and definitely a highlight of my career.
Now I'm off to the grass courts. I'm playing in Birmingham next week and then qualifying of Wimbledon.
See you all soon as it's almost WTT time!
